The Bachelor of Science - Bachelor of Arts program merges hands-on technical, mathematical, and computing abilities with the analytical, innovative reasoning, clear communication, and problem-solving competencies gained through arts and humanities education. Science coursework equips you to investigate issues, analyze information, and suggest remedies, while arts studies provide the tools to construct persuasive cases, engage with diverse audiences, and shape policy decisions. Together, these complementary skill sets position graduates to tackle tomorrow's intricate societal challenges.
Core scientific disciplines encompass: Ecology and Conservation Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Geology, as well as Environmental and Physical Geography.
Arts majors include options such as: Archaeology and Ancient History, English Literature, Environmental Humanities, French, History, Indigenous Studies, Japanese, Legal Studies, Mandarin (for both non-native and heritage speakers), Philosophy, Photography, Political Science and International Relations, Sociology, Spanish, Creative Writing, or Writing and English Literature. Students also select either a secondary arts major or minor from the Bachelor of Arts curriculum.
