The Bachelor of Mathematics Advanced is designed for exceptional students who have demonstrated excellence in advanced high school mathematics or possess equivalent knowledge upon enrolling at UOW. This prestigious program provides an intensive curriculum tailored for high-performing students with a strong enthusiasm for mathematical studies.

A distinctive aspect of this advanced program involves conducting supervised undergraduate research projects. These initiatives allow you to collaborate directly with leading academic researchers, fostering independent learning while enhancing analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Advanced students receive invitations to exclusive networking and mentorship programs, including summer research grants, industry-sponsored scholarships, and participation in Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) initiatives, along with cross-institutional courses via our Access Grid Room.
Students may pursue an additional Honours year to deepen their expertise through focused research projects.
Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science.
