The School of Mathematics and Statistics (MathsStats) provides several Honours program options, including a specialization in Pure Mathematics. The Honours year exposes students to research methodologies through advanced coursework, a thesis project, and seminar involvement. Students receive guidance from leading Australian mathematicians across diverse mathematical and statistical fields.
The Pure Mathematics Honours Stream requires applicants to have finished a mathematics-focused undergraduate degree in science or related fields. Graduates from other quantitative disciplines pursuing research in pure mathematics may also qualify for this program.
