This specialized program is tailored for working professionals or degree holders looking to advance their studies in composition, musicology, or performance. Our Graduate Research School (GRS) supports students in mastering the critical thinking and project management skills required for advanced research degrees.
Applicants are expected to have a Bachelor of Music with at least upper second class honours or equivalent. An applicant who does not have a Bachelor of Music with at least upper second class honours or whose major field of study has not been music may be required to pass a qualifying examination or undertake preliminary study. Applicants for the Master of Music will be required to pass an admission audition and interview (performance) or portfolio review (composition and musicology) for the Conservatorium before lodging an application with the Graduate Research School.
