Scholars in Law and Society explore fundamental questions about the interplay between legal systems and social structures, while analyzing how this dynamic manifests in specific areas of law and policy across national and global contexts. This field of study cultivates essential competencies in investigation, critical evaluation, collaborative work, and effective communication.
The Honors program in Law and Society aims to enhance comprehension of significant theoretical frameworks while building practical abilities applicable to governmental and non-governmental sectors (including policy formulation and execution). By engaging with seminal works and contemporary challenges, students will broaden and refine the expertise acquired in their Law and Society major, while honing advanced research methodologies and analytical capabilities.
