The Master of Strategic Communication program is tailored to meet the growing industry need for skilled communication experts who can effectively employ diverse communication strategies and techniques to solve complex challenges. Drawing from current communication research and industry best practices, it caters to professionals seeking to launch or advance their careers in specialized communication roles focused on enhancing stakeholder relationships and engagement for improved organizational performance.
This program provides students with practical, hands-on knowledge and competencies essential in the communication sector. It acts as a foundation for those looking to apply sophisticated expertise in creating, executing, and assessing creative, integrated solutions to real communication problems.
Upon completion, graduates will be prepared for positions including: account executive, senior account executive, brand manager, public relations officer, public relations manager, media advisor, engagement coordinator, content creator, digital advertising specialist, social media marketing expert, publicity coordinator, communication consultant, engagement manager, program communication manager, global communications manager, internal communications lead, marketing communications advisor, sustainability engagement specialist, governance and engagement coordinator, senior communications consultant, corporate communications expert, and PR account director/senior account director.
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.

For applicants with a master's, graduate diploma or graduate certificate qualification, the qualification can be in any field of study.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
