The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science addresses the growing need for qualified professionals who can deliver physical activity programs across diverse community settings. This program equips students with comprehensive knowledge of sport and exercise science principles, along with practical skills for organizing and overseeing activities in health, sports, events, and therapeutic contexts. The Exercise Science and Exercise Therapy specializations within this degree hold accreditation from Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Graduates of these majors qualify for Exercise Science certification, specializing in evaluating, designing, and implementing exercise programs for generally healthy individuals.
Graduates can pursue careers as exercise scientists, sports scientists, exercise physiologists (with additional training), corporate wellness specialists, strength coaches, personal trainers, physiotherapists (through specified pathways), rehabilitation specialists, sports coaches, outdoor educators, or facility managers.
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level.
This course is also available to mature-aged applicants where preference is given to those with vocational experience in the broad field of human movement.
Academic IELTS- 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0, or TOEFL- paper based- 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based- 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21, or AE5- Pass, or C1A/C2P- 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
