The Medical Science Honours program equips students with a solid groundwork for pursuing advanced medical studies and professional career options. Through an intensive research project, participants gain valuable insights into medical research methodologies across laboratory, community, and clinical environments. Alongside their primary research, students must examine and present findings from other significant modern biomedical studies. The Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) readies students for various medical research careers after finishing their MBBS. This year of research training seeks to provide graduates with an advantage in postgraduate studies, vocational education, or securing positions in biomedical research facilities. The medical field presents numerous career possibilities. After obtaining their MBBS, graduates begin as interns in accredited hospitals for general medical training. BMedSc (Hons) graduates will be particularly prepared for specialized career tracks, including training in areas like anaesthesia, dermatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, geriatrics, paediatrics, pathology, psychiatry, radiology, and surgery.
