The Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science with Honours (Specialisation) is a four-year degree program incorporating embedded Honours. The first specialization available will be Physical Oceanography. This program equips students with expertise in advanced physical oceanography and mathematics, along with instruction in scientific research methodologies, enabling graduates to independently conduct physical oceanography studies effectively. Graduates will find career prospects in marine and Antarctic science, particularly in specialized fields like physical oceanography and climate science. The research skills developed may open doors to roles in government and state research institutions focused on studying or managing marine and Antarctic ecosystems. Qualification Requirements

All international students will need to meet the minimum English Language Requirements, University General Entry Requirements and any course specific requirements such as pre-requisite subjects, if applicable. English Language Requirements This degree requires an IELTS (Academic) of 6.0, with no individual band less than 5.5, or a PTE Academic score of 50, with no score lower than 42 or equivalent. For students who do not meet the English Language Requirement through citizenship or prior studies in English in an approved country, evidence of an approved English language test completed within the last 2 years must be provided. General Entry Requirements This degree program is available to students who have completed years 1 and 2 in the Bachelor Science (Marine Science) degree at the Ocean University of China. These students will complete years 3 and 4 requirements as described in the “Course Structure” section above. TOEFL (iBT) - 72 (no skill below- Reading 10; Listening 9; Speaking 16; Writing 19)
