The Bachelor of Arts with Honours program provides graduates of the Bachelor of Arts degree an opportunity to deepen their expertise through an additional year of focused study. This intensive course prepares students for professional careers or advanced academic pursuits like Master's or Doctoral degrees. Honours graduates will gain specialized knowledge in Humanities or Social Sciences disciplines along with research methodologies. Offered as a one-year full-time program (or part-time over two years with school approval) at Hobart and Launceston campuses, this degree equips students to: Exhibit comprehensive understanding of core principles in humanities/social sciences and research methodologies; Analyze and synthesize complex social, cultural, political, ethical, and environmental issues from diverse perspectives; Communicate specialized knowledge effectively to various audiences through multiple formats; Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in professional and academic contexts; Conduct independent research projects within humanities/social science fields; Develop adaptable skills including creativity, initiative, and resilience for evolving workplace challenges.
