The Bachelor of Arts with Honours program provides students who have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree the opportunity to pursue an additional year of specialized study. This advanced coursework deepens expertise in chosen fields, preparing graduates for professional careers or further academic pursuits like Master's or Doctoral degrees. Honours graduates will gain sophisticated understanding of core theories and methodologies within Humanities or Social Sciences disciplines, along with research competencies. This intensive program spans one year full-time (or optionally two years part-time, subject to School approval) and is offered at both Hobart and Launceston campuses. Through the Bachelor of Arts with Honours, you will acquire the ability to: Exhibit comprehensive mastery of fundamental theories and research methodologies across humanities and social science fields; Analyze, synthesize, and critically assess sociocultural, political, ethical, and environmental challenges from diverse local and global perspectives; Effectively communicate specialized knowledge to both expert and general audiences through various media; Develop professional problem-solving skills and sound judgment for academic or workplace settings; Conduct independent research projects demonstrating scholarly initiative within humanities/social science disciplines; Cultivate adaptable, creative, and self-directed approaches to meet evolving professional challenges.
