The Associate Degree in Arts is a two-year full-time program (with part-time options available) that enables students to examine human culture and behavior through various lenses and historical contexts. This program encourages exploration of contemporary societal challenges while developing skills to contribute to human progress, creative expression, and innovation. The degree offers flexible pathways: it can serve as the foundation for a Bachelor of Arts, allow specialization in two BA majors, or provide interdisciplinary exploration across multiple fields. Students can customize their learning experience by selecting from more than twenty majors and minors available in the Bachelor of Arts program, along with numerous elective options to broaden their knowledge and skill set.
This program prepares graduates for careers in arts curation and administration across various sectors, including emerging arts scenes and event-based organizations, while also providing a strong foundation for advanced study. Students will gain project management skills, enhance their communication abilities, and develop digital competencies. The curriculum includes opportunities to examine how artistic and curatorial approaches can amplify diverse community voices, contribute to cultural tourism and heritage interpretation, and bridge historical and contemporary perspectives through digital humanities. Through a culminating curatorial project, students will conceptualize and present their ideas to industry professionals, establishing valuable connections with established art institutions and innovative independent arts organizations.
