This program enhances your leadership skills and knowledge in urban design and urbanism, focusing particularly on sustainability, measurable outcomes, and practical application. Develop a cross-disciplinary perspective with strong emphasis on teamwork and communication, mirroring real-world professional scenarios.
While tailored for professionals and graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning or related fields to expand their qualifications, we encourage applicants from diverse academic backgrounds. This program is particularly suitable for Bachelor of Architecture and Environments graduates.
The Master of Urban Design is a postgraduate program that sharpens your abilities in creative design, analytical thinking, and spatial problem-solving. Core units cover essential urban design principles including practical applications, theoretical frameworks, and spatial evaluation.
Elective options are selected from specialized units, particularly those focusing on design methodology and urban morphology within our ADP School, to fulfill the program's credit requirements.
Admission to the Master of Urban Design requires:
an undergraduate degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, town planning, urbanism, geography or a related field; or
completion of the requirements of the embedded Graduate Certificate with a WAM of at least 65.
IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
