The Master of Publishing is a graduate-level program that equips students with cutting-edge skills for today's fast-paced publishing landscape across various media formats.
The curriculum includes foundational courses in publishing and digital content editing, print and web production techniques, design principles, marketing strategies, plus a culminating experience through either a research project, industry internship, or thesis.
Admission to candidature for the Master of Publishing (1.5 years full-time) requires:
a bachelor's degree with a minimum credit (65%) average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, including a major in the humanities or social sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
Admission to candidature for the Master of Publishing (1 year full-time) requires:
completion of the embedded Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Publishing with a minimum credit (65%) average, or an equivalent qualification; or
an Honours degree in a relevant discipline; or
relevant professional work experience and a bachelor's degree with a minimum credit (65%) average or an equivalent qualification.
IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
