The Professional Writing and Publishing program equips students with essential writing competencies for careers in corporate communications and media. These abilities are valuable across diverse sectors including government, corporate environments, non-profits, arts institutions, and publishing fields.
Throughout this program, you'll master crafting compelling non-fiction content while learning to articulate an organization's vision, goals, and achievements. The curriculum covers specialized communication formats and standards, along with advanced training in research, composition, revision, and publication processes.
During your second year, you'll complete a significant capstone project and potentially gain real-world experience through professional internships. Our program offers campus-based, industry-connected, and community-engaged opportunities to enrich your graduate studies and skill enhancement. Each student develops a substantial project under expert faculty guidance, which often serves as a key portfolio component for future career opportunities.
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to qualify for one of our postgraduate coursework programs: Completed a bachelor degree awarded by a recognised tertiary institution. Some postgraduate courses may require a completed bachelor degree in a relevant field.
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Grade C; and Pearson Test of English Academic: 60. IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System): Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening: 6.0; Overall band score: 6.5; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 79 Overall; Reading 13 Listening 13 Speaking 18 Writing 21.
