The social research specialization provides practical training in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies applicable to social studies, program assessment, and policy analysis. The Master of Public Policy is an advanced coursework program that enhances your expertise in policy development and execution, while examining the influences of political, social, economic, cultural, and technological contexts.

Core curriculum includes studies in migration, corruption, crisis response, governance, and environmental policy, culminating in a capstone experience involving either a research project or thesis. Additional elective units are available to fulfill degree requirements.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to candidature for the Master of Public Policy requires:

A bachelor's degree with a minimum credit (65 percent) average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification
IELTS score- A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score- A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
