The Master of Music (Performance) offers a distinctive pathway to refine advanced skills in creating research-driven musical performances. Students complete their studies with a thesis comprising both a creative performance presentation and a 10,000-20,000 word written component. Throughout the program, participants receive specialized guidance to develop their performance projects and accompanying academic writing. Students independently prepare and showcase their creative work (through recitals, lecture-recitals, recordings, or other approved formats), demonstrating original thinking, analytical skills, interpretive abilities, and strong potential as academic musicians.
