The Peace and Conflict Studies specialization equips students with knowledge of conflict patterns and opportunities for establishing, maintaining, and strengthening peace across diverse political, social, economic, and environmental settings. This concentration examines conflicts at local, national, regional, and international scales, integrating social, scientific, and legal methodologies to offer a comprehensive view of peace and societal transformation.

The department also hosts the Centre for International Security Studies and the Electoral Integrity project.
