The Biosecurity specialization explores how infectious diseases and bioterrorism present growing risks that may significantly impact various population groups, workforce availability, economic output, and overall productivity.
Develop specialized knowledge to create, evaluate, and strengthen technological, socioeconomic, and environmental systems while formulating approaches for anticipating and handling emergencies.
As the sole program of its type in the Southern Hemisphere, our Master of Complex Systems equips graduates with advanced capabilities in quantitative modeling and computer-based simulation of system behaviors.
This postgraduate coursework degree prepares students to assess, construct, and reinforce robust systems across technology, economics, and ecology while establishing methods for predicting and addressing potential crises.
The curriculum includes fundamental and advanced complex systems studies, along with specialized computing modules. Students will undertake a culminating research project and select supplementary electives to fulfill degree requirements.

a pass in bachelor's degree with a credit average (65 percent) in a quantitative discipline, or
an honours bachelor's degree, from the University of Sydney, or qualifications deemed by the faculty to be equivalent, or
a University of Sydney Graduate Diploma in Complex Systems with a credit average (65 percent), or equivalent qualification.
