Nutrition Science is an interdisciplinary field examining how food and nutrients impact health and disease throughout life. You'll begin with fundamental biology and biochemistry before specializing in human nutrition. The program allows you to examine nutrition's effects on health from molecular processes to whole-body systems. You'll study nutrient sensing, digestion, metabolism, and storage while gaining laboratory and research expertise, including big data analysis - preparing you for careers as nutrition scientists, researchers, or (with additional requirements) entry into the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The Bachelor of Science (Advanced) is an undergraduate program fostering analytical and critical thinking abilities, preparing students for research careers that contribute to global progress. The curriculum includes core science fundamentals, followed by specialization through a chosen stream, major, or program, complemented by a minor/secondary major and Open Learning Environment units.
An optional Honours year offers intensive research experience through an independent project and advanced coursework, providing pathways to PhD studies or research-focused careers.
