The Bachelor of Music Studies (Honours) is an additional year available to graduates who have finished either the Bachelor of Music Studies program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music or any other qualifying three-year degree from another university.

Qualification Requirements
To gain entry a candidate must:
Have qualified for the award of the pass degree of Bachelor of Music Studies from the University of Sydney or comparable three-year degree from another tertiary institution
Candidates must have achieved a distinction average in the overall degree, including all written subjects, and achieved a distinction average in their principal study or area of specialisation in years two or three
In addition to the above requirements, prospective candidates will need to submit a minimum 500-word proposal outlining the aims of their research, including the relevance of the research question, references to supporting literature and possible ethical considerations
Successful completion of an audition and/or interview.
TOEFL-IBT- A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
IELTS score- A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
