Our Composition for Creative Industries program specializes in crafting music for visual media (movies, animations, TV shows, documentaries, gaming, and digital platforms) as well as live performances (theatrical productions, dance performances, fashion events, commercials, and special occasions). Our alumni have created scores for ABC Television, Belvoir St Theatre, Tropfest, and Comic Con.
Collaborating with creative professionals like directors and fellow artists, you'll master the art of composing tailored musical pieces to meet specific project requirements.
You'll develop expertise in acoustic, vocal, and electronic music production while learning to transcribe, arrange, and produce scores for film, television, stage, new media, and other commercial applications.
This curriculum cultivates versatile musicians capable of applying their expertise across diverse artistic and professional settings.
Your studies will encompass musical composition, analytical techniques, audio technology, instrumentation, alongside historical and cultural perspectives.

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
Alternatively, applicants may be granted admission on the basis of:
having successfully undertaken tertiary studies in music at or above Diploma level to the equivalent of at least one year of study.
