The Bachelor of Arts honours program serves as both a foundation for advanced studies and the pinnacle of undergraduate education. This intensive year can mark the conclusion of your academic journey while expanding your intellectual horizons, refining research capabilities, and enhancing analytical and communication skills. It also fosters the personal and professional competencies required to successfully complete a research endeavor. Ideal for undergraduates with a single major, the honours program can also launch careers in academia or professional research. The curriculum combines seminar participation with an independent research thesis, guided by a faculty expert in your chosen field.
Eligibility for the honours year is open to all students, irrespective of their initial language proficiency. To gain admission, students must complete a major in Germanic Studies with a minimum 70% average.
