The Bachelor of Arts honours program serves as both a foundation for advanced studies and the pinnacle of undergraduate achievement. This final year can represent the conclusion of your academic journey, offering an opportunity to broaden your intellectual horizons, refine research skills, and enhance analytical and communication methods. It also fosters the development of personal and professional competencies essential for completing a research endeavor. Ideal for undergraduates with a single major, honours study may also launch an academic or professional research career. The program combines seminar coursework with an independent research project, guided by a faculty expert in your chosen field.
The Digital Cultures honours curriculum includes two seminar units and an 18,000-20,000 word thesis on an approved subject. Students must submit their research proposal to the Honours Coordinator by December before commencing studies.
First semester assessments will emphasize research design, methodology, and critical analysis. Mid-year admission isn't offered, though part-time study may be permitted with coordinator approval.
