You will explore how individuals engage with and are influenced by politics, as well as how decision-making bodies that impact daily life operate. Analyze core components of political systems such as governmental bodies, political parties, interest groups, elections, trends in political involvement, and social movements. Upon completion, you will possess the fundamental concepts, theories, and methodologies central to the field of political science.The Bachelor of Arts combined with the Master of Nursing is a dual program that hones your analytical capabilities, fosters independent thinking, and enables you to formulate and express reasoned judgments while delving into various disciplines and interests within Arts and Social Sciences.You will fulfill a major or program from the Arts and Social Sciences disciplinary pool, plus an extra minor or second major from either the disciplinary or shared pool. You will also complete Open Learning Environment units and any necessary electives to reach the required credit points for the program.Your initial year will consist solely of Arts and Social Sciences units, with nursing courses starting in your second year. Achieving a satisfactory academic standing is required to advance to the Master of Nursing. The nursing portion includes coursework alongside extensive practical experience, featuring over 800 hours of clinical placements during your degree.
