The Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies (Languages) offers you the chance to merge your enthusiasm for languages and cultures with hands-on multilingual translation skills while building advanced intercultural awareness and communication abilities. This program enables you to pursue two language specializations, acquire fundamental translation theory knowledge, and gain practical experience through real-world translation assignments. You'll explore diverse cultures and have opportunities for international exchange or study abroad with our global partners. In your final year, you can choose between two pathways: Advanced Coursework OR Honours. Advanced Coursework: Strengthen your leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities while boosting your career opportunities. You'll tackle rigorous coursework and participate in experiential learning by working with peers on a significant practical project. OR Honours: Cultivate advanced analytical skills and prepare for future research endeavors, including potential PhD studies. You'll complete an independent research project under supervision, along with related discipline-specific or research-oriented coursework. Note that admission to the honours track requires meeting specific WAM thresholds and additional entry criteria. Consult your faculty for precise requirements.
