As a Japanese studies major, you'll develop proficiency in contemporary Japanese while exploring Japan's society, civilization, and cultural traditions. This program encourages global perspectives through immersive language and cultural studies. Our passionate faculty specialize in diverse fields including educational sociology/anthropology, minority studies, gender issues, Korean communities in Japan, literature, and pop culture.
