The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a globally recognized postgraduate research qualification.
Under the supervision of your academic advisors, you'll conduct substantial research culminating in a 40,000-word dissertation and oral defense. In certain cases, alternative thesis formats may be permitted.
Full-time MPhil studies typically require 1.5 to 2 years to finish, helping you cultivate sophisticated knowledge and research methodologies.
This independent research program demands strong academic preparation for admission. Applicants may be required to provide a research proposal and supplementary documentation.
Each year, approximately 500 MPhil students enroll at UQ, exploring diverse research areas. Numerous graduates progress to doctoral studies to pursue a PhD.
