This program allows you to conduct research in any qualified field of study. Potential research areas encompass autism spectrum disorders, clinical and health psychology, behavioral neuroscience and neuropsychology, cognitive and developmental psychology, as well as social and intercultural psychology, among others.
You'll develop theoretical expertise and critical thinking skills to evaluate and apply concepts, along with the capacity to analyze complex information, problems, and theories while integrating knowledge from various disciplines.
The program prepares graduates for research-focused roles in academia, government, or public health organizations, while also providing a foundation for doctoral studies.

Qualification Requirements
In order to apply for Masters by research candidature, you will normally require either:
the satisfactory completion of an Australian Bachelor's degree with an honours year with at least an H2A result in the relevant discipline
a qualification of La Trobe University or a recognised tertiary institution which is deemed by the Board of Graduate Research to be equivalent to the qualification specified in (a) above
a Bachelor's degree without honours strengthened by additional qualifications or the demonstrated possession of research skills or publications of an especially meritorious nature, approved by the Board of Graduate Research as an acceptable basis for admission to candidature. Some additional preliminary studies may need to be undertaken
The following conditions must be met in order to gain admission into a Masters by research degree:

the department or school in which you seek enrolment must be able to provide appropriate facilities, resources and supervision for your chosen area of research.
IELTS Overall 6.5, no band less than 6.0
TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall score of 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
