This program equips you with essential knowledge and abilities to tackle two key contributors to chronic illnesses – diet and exercise – while building a solid foundation for promoting community wellness.
You'll examine human physiology and nutritional needs throughout life stages, learning how diet, physical activity, fitness, and rest influence wellbeing, chronic disease prevention, and athletic achievement.
Choose from specializations in nutritional science, athletic coaching, or sports culture to focus on your passion while becoming an expert in your selected discipline. Develop sought-after qualifications for diverse healthcare roles, graduating prepared to address pressing challenges in the health industry.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent):
General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C), and
General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C), and
one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C).
English language requirements
IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ
TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
OET is not accepted.
