Earning a Bachelor of Health Sciences from UQ prepares you to positively impact countless lives through a curriculum developed in partnership with healthcare professionals. This program covers biomedical sciences, public health, preventive healthcare, health management, and professional skills. Its adaptable structure readies students for both clinical and non-clinical career paths. During your final year, you'll complete 90 hours of practical (non-clinical) work placement to gain valuable industry experience. Non-clinical graduates can pursue roles in designing and implementing effective public health initiatives or continue their education with programs like the Master of Public Health. Those aiming for clinical careers can use this degree as a foundation for postgraduate clinical programs such as Medicine, Occupational Therapy, or Dietetics, provided they meet entry requirements. For students with conditional admission to Medicine, this program serves as an excellent preparatory pathway, offering future doctors comprehensive training in biomedical sciences, public health, medical ethics, behavioral sciences, and healthcare systems.
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C). It is highly recommended that students undertake one of Year 12 (or equivalent) Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics.

TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
OET is not accepted.
