The Bachelor of Health Science (BHLTH) offers fundamental understanding of biomedical, environmental, and social health factors; develops abilities to assess health promotion strategies; and presents quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research techniques. In the BHLTH(Hons) program, you'll select a pertinent research topic within biomedical science, clinical practice, health sociology, health policy, health economics, or public health. You'll design a suitable research plan, accurately gather and examine data, then synthesize findings to construct an evidence-supported conclusion, resulting in a written dissertation. Acquired competencies include managing projects, research proficiency, academic writing, and delivering impactful presentations.
Learning Objectives
Design and conduct an autonomous, in-depth examination of a selected research area to produce novel insights.
Critically assess relevant theories and frameworks, connect them to suitable methods and evidence, and derive valid conclusions.
Examine and interpret primary research data using statistical or other analytical techniques when applicable.
