The Master of Philosophy is an advanced research program that combines coursework with a significant research project, culminating in a thesis (or equivalent) evaluated by two external assessors. Offered across all university faculties, this program is particularly suited for graduates holding a Bachelor's degree without Honors. Your coursework includes four mandatory research training modules, helping you refine your research focus, select appropriate methodologies, draft proposals, and hone essential analytical and academic writing skills relevant to your field.

Qualification Requirements

The following criteria apply to students seeking admission to the Master of Philosophy program: Possession of an undergraduate degree from a recognised university, which has been completed at a high credit standard and which demonstrates the applicant’s potential to undertake and complete research-based study. An equivalent academic background or extensive professional experience that is considered by the Dean of the School to be an appropriate preparation for independent study and research work at Masters level. You may be required to demonstrate an ability to understand and communicate in both written and spoken English at a level adequate for the purpose of pursuing the program of study. IELTS (Academic) - 7.0 overall, with no score lower than 7.0 in writing and no other individual band score lower than 6.5 TOEFL (iBT) - 94 overall, with no score lower than 27 in writing and no other individual band score lower than 20
