Depending on individual needs, students may complete additional research training or coursework during their MA studies. Participants will receive continuous guidance, mentorship, and engagement with the university's research community. The Master of Arts can be completed through various formats: a conventional thesis, a publication-based thesis, or an innovative combination of exegesis and creative work. Your research should explore important questions within your discipline, producing meaningful contributions to humanities, social sciences, applied sciences, or Indigenous studies.
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
Possession of an undergraduate (AQF level 7) or Honours (AQF level 8) degree from a recognized University, which has been completed at a superior standard and which demonstrates the applicant’s potential to undertake and complete a research based study at AQF level 9 equivalence; OR
In exceptional circumstances, an equivalent academic or professional background that is considered by the Dean of the School to be an appropriate preparation for independent study and research work at Masters level.
IELTS (Academic) - 7.0 overall, with no score lower than 7.0 in writing and no other individual band score lower than 6.5; CAE/CPE - 185 overall, with no score lower than 185 in writing and no other band score lower than 176; PTE Academic - 68 overall, with no score lower than 68 in writing and no other band score lower than 58; TOEFL (iBT) - 94 overall, with no score lower than 27 in writing and no other individual band score lower than 20.
