The Master of Engineering Science (Transport Engineering) equips students with expertise in modeling and evaluating transportation networks for both passengers and cargo. This program offers comprehensive training in infrastructure planning, operational design, system management, and the economic and ecological consequences of transport systems. Students can explore specialized subjects such as transportation planning, intelligent transport systems (ITS), land use strategies, risk assessment, safety protocols, network architecture, demand forecasting, and sustainable development considerations including emissions and public health impacts. The curriculum addresses the growing global demand for safe, rapid, dependable, and cost-effective transportation solutions driven by increasing populations and urban expansion. Hosted by UNSW's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, this two-year degree incorporates research-driven projects and diverse learning experiences to cultivate future industry leaders. Participants will master systematic problem-solving techniques, essential project management competencies, and advanced skills in data analysis, interpretation, and professional communication.
