The Master of Teaching (Primary) at UNSW stands unique in Australia as a groundbreaking postgraduate qualification offering a swift pathway to becoming a primary educator. This intensive two-year equivalent program can be finished in just 1.3 years through full-time study across four terms. Created in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education and regional primary school communities, and officially recognized by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), our curriculum prepares graduates to teach from kindergarten through year six in varied educational settings, including public and private schools across Australia and internationally. You'll gain essential knowledge and competencies to fulfill the Australian graduate teaching standards, learning from a combination of academic experts and practicing primary educators who deliver foundational courses and specialized teaching methods across six core primary subjects: English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, History and Geography, Creative Arts, and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.
