UNSW Canberra boasts Australia's most extensive space capabilities, offering a Master of Space Operations program that delivers comprehensive knowledge about planning, managing, and acquiring space systems. Space technologies now permeate countless aspects of modern life, from navigation and finance to environmental monitoring and disaster response. This postgraduate program equips students with in-depth expertise in the technical, strategic, and economic factors essential for spacecraft conception, development, and operation in today's dynamic space industry. The campus features cutting-edge infrastructure supporting complete space missions, including Australia's pioneering concurrent engineering design facility for space missions. Additional specialized resources include the Falcon Telescope, cleanroom facilities, a thermal vacuum chamber lab, and satellite communication stations.
To gain entry into a Master of Space Operations (8624), an applicant must meet one of the following entry requirements:
1. Completion of a Bachelor degree with honours in the same or a related discipline from a recognised institution; or
2. Completion of a Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in the same or a related discipline from a recognised institution; or
3. Completion of a Bachelor degree in the same or a related discipline from a recognised institution; and completion of at least three years relevant full-time professional experience; or
4. Completion of a Bachelor degree in a non-related discipline; and completion of at least four years relevant full-time professional experience; or
5. Evidence of other qualifications and professional experience to be assessed as acceptable grounds for admission into the program by the relevant Program Authority.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL IBT (Internet Based): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); Pearson (PTE - Academic): 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); C1 Advanced Cambridge: 176 overall (min. 169 in each subtest); C2 Proficiency Cambridge: 180 overall (min. 180 in each subtest); UNSW Global University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component.
