The Master of Engineering research program serves as foundational training in advanced academic exploration and investigation. Students gain essential research skills and master innovative methodologies. This curriculum may incorporate structured courses aimed at equipping participants for their thesis work. While requiring original research, the scope and novelty of these investigations are typically less extensive than doctoral requirements. The program fosters creative thinking while providing close guidance during initial problem definition and when applying new technical approaches.
A candidate for the degree shall have been awarded at a standard not below Honours Class 2 an appropriate degree of Bachelor from The University of New South Wales or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution.
