This program caters to educators and administrators in healthcare fields who want to enhance their research capabilities through studies culminating in a Master of Health Professions Education (Research) degree. Participants can enroll as full-time or part-time students on campus, or as external university students. External students must complete at least 14 weeks of residency at the School during their studies. All candidates must conduct original research under faculty supervision for a minimum of three academic terms if full-time, or four terms if part-time or external.
A candidate for the degree shall:
Have an MBBS or other medical degree (including such qualifications from another country), or
Have been awarded the degree of Bachelor, and have relevant experience.
In addition to (1) or (2), the candidate must have support from the proposed supervisor and the relevant Head of School.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL IBT (Internet Based): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); Pearson (PTE - Academic): 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); C1 Advanced Cambridge: 176 overall (min. 169 in each subtest); C2 Proficiency Cambridge: 180 overall (min. 180 in each subtest); UNSW Global University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component.
