Our daily experiences are shaped by the five fundamental senses: touch, taste, smell, hearing, and vision. These sensory systems are crucial for interacting with our environment. Visual impairments can significantly affect a person's quality of life. The field of optometry offers solutions for various vision disorders and ocular conditions, helping individuals regain visual function. Eye care specialists assess refractive errors, ocular pathologies, and other vision-related concerns. These trained practitioners improve visual acuity and treat progressive eye conditions through prescription eyewear, visual aids, therapeutic interventions, or pharmaceutical treatments. The combined Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Clinical Optometry program equips students with the necessary clinical competencies for optometric practice, blending vision science theory with hands-on patient care experience.
