The Master of Commerce (Marketing) covers the initial two years of the five-year PhD program in Marketing, exclusively for doctoral candidates. Those undertaking this master's degree will gain foundational expertise to develop as autonomous researchers and academics in marketing.

Qualification Requirements

A four-year undergraduate degree in finance or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent, with a University of Melbourne equivalent weighted average mark of least 75% (H2A) or equivalent; or qualification and professional experience considered to be equivalent; successfully completed university level subjects in Calculus and Linear Algebra; the results of a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) test completed within the last 5 years. No minimum GMAT or GRE score is required. The average score of successful applicants is around 680-700 (GMAT) and 324 (GRE) The following applicants for this course are exempt from submitting a GMAT or GRE test: ‚ó¶Those who have completed an undergraduate degree in Australia or New Zealand within the 18 months prior to the date of application; or Those who face significant humanitarian issues; IELTS: total score of at least 6.5 in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0. TOEFL Internet-based test: total score of at least 79 and scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading and 13 for listening.
