The Theatre specialization offers a rigorous studio-focused training program designed for actors and theatre creators, equipping them to excel as performers and innovative developers of original work.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre) program provides a distinctive and forward-thinking curriculum for aspiring theatre professionals. During your studies, you'll cultivate your artistic identity while gaining proficiency in diverse aspects of modern theatre - including performance, creation, improvisation, writing, dramaturgy, and direction, complemented by a wide selection of elective subjects from across the University to explore personal passions.
As part of the Theatre program, you'll work alongside peers from various VCA disciplines such as Acting, Writing, Directing, Dance, Music Composition, Production, and Film & Television. The course includes immersive experiences like company residencies, field trips, and international study tours, enhancing professional skills and preparing you for diverse career paths in the performing arts.
