Exceptional design possesses the transformative ability to deliver enduring solutions that enhance our daily experiences. Designers employ imaginative and flexible methodologies to identify and address challenges, resulting in superior decision-making. This empowers organizations and sectors to break free from inflexible or obsolete practices. Design plays a vital role in shaping and refining our urban spaces, architectural structures, transportation systems, furnishings, digital platforms, operational procedures, infrastructure projects, outdoor areas, and ecological surroundings. Design professionals serve as pioneers who elevate our living standards and how we engage with our surroundings. The Bachelor of Design program enables students to integrate humanities, sciences, and visual/performing arts into one comprehensive curriculum. Students can customize their expertise through elective studies and advanced design concentrations, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), to broaden their primary studies. Options include specializing in one or two primary fields, or pursuing a major alongside a minor.
This specialization seeks to equip Bachelor of Design candidates with fundamental competencies for careers in the geospatial information field. Spatial Systems experts operate in surveying and land management, cartography, geospatial information system development and implementation, and technological innovation. The Spatial Systems concentration focuses on measuring, modeling, managing, analyzing, and graphically representing data about Earth's physical characteristics and human-made structures.
