The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) is a specialized year of study designed for students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance in their undergraduate studies. This honours year allows you to deepen your expertise in your chosen field. The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) is an advanced, specialized program that demands a higher level of achievement than a standard degree. It provides a wide array of Arts programs in humanities, social sciences, and languages, helping students enhance their advanced research and analytical abilities and cultivate original thinking. It strengthens students' capacity to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges. Students can focus on one area of study (pure honours) or two (combined honours), depending on their specialization. The Arabic Studies Honours program includes advanced coursework and an individual research project (Arabic Studies Thesis) aimed at expanding students' understanding of Arabic literature, Arab culture, Arabic linguistics, or another relevant area in Arabic Studies, while honing their research and presentation skills. Additionally, students will choose an elective subject from options covering Islamic studies or another appropriate field. For combined honours, students may complete three honours subjects or the research project plus one honours subject in the secondary discipline. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to pursue further research studies such as a Master of Arts (MA) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
