The four-year Bachelor of Primary Education program offers comprehensive training to equip you for teaching literacy and numeracy in primary schools, covering Kindergarten through Year 6. Through this program, you'll gain deep insights into modern educational theories and teaching methodologies, reinforced by frequent classroom observations and practical teaching placements where you'll apply your academic knowledge.
During years two through four, you'll experience hands-on learning through Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) units conducted directly in school settings, allowing consistent interaction with students across all primary grade levels. You'll master instruction in core subjects like English, mathematics, science, health and physical education, humanities, social sciences, and technology. Upon graduation, you'll emerge as a skilled, enthusiastic educator fully prepared to inspire and positively impact young learners aged 5 to 12.
