The Master of Research program forms part of an integrated academic pathway, enabling students to transition from undergraduate studies to advanced research degrees.
This program allows participants to conduct guided research within their chosen field, culminating in a substantial 20,000-word thesis submission.
Students cultivate essential abilities such as autonomous reasoning, research coordination, analytical evaluation, and enhanced presentation techniques.
Designed to nurture independent research capabilities, this program serves as excellent preparation for doctoral studies (PhD) or careers in academic and professional research fields.
To be eligible for admission into the Master of Research (MR-INTSCI) course, an applicant must have successfully completed the Bachelor of Research (Honours) (BH-INTSCI) at Swinburne with a credit average.
Students applying to the Master of Research (MR-INTSCI) will automatically be considered for a place in the Bachelor of Research (Honours) (BH-INTSCI) and do not need to apply separately for the Bachelor of Research (Honours) program.
