The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a supervised research program designed for individuals with some research background who aren't yet qualified for direct PhD entry. This degree typically takes 1-2 years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent). Those with minimal research experience may want to consider the Master of Research (MRes) instead.
