The Master of Cybersecurity program equips you for an information technology career by teaching advanced techniques to build and manage sophisticated ICT systems.
You'll gain expertise in detecting, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving vulnerabilities in software systems. The curriculum covers network protection, vulnerability assessment, emergency response protocols, security administration, code analysis, and authorized intrusion techniques.
After completing the program, you'll be prepared to work as a systems specialist in areas including digital security, threat mitigation, compliance evaluation, and malicious software analysis.
The admission requirements for Master of Cyber security consist of:
a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline, or
a non-STEM bachelor’s degree, plus 3 years industry experience in the web development, cyber security, software development or related fields, or
successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Cyber security.
English language requirements
Satisfactory completion of one of the following:
IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65% or above
PTE Academic: 58 (no communicative skill less than 50)
TOEFL iBT: 79 (no less than 13 in reading, 12 in listening, 18 in speaking 21 in writing)
