The Master of Physiotherapy is a two-year professional graduate program designed to prepare students for clinical practice. Located in Bundoora (Melbourne), this evidence-based program develops adaptable, resourceful healthcare professionals with strong business and technological skills. The curriculum focuses on therapeutic communication, digital health applications, and comprehensive patient care knowledge to improve health outcomes through innovative, ethical practice.
This 16-course degree provides immersive learning experiences in both simulated and actual clinical settings, preparing students to tackle healthcare challenges in Australia and globally. The program addresses complex health issues including chronic conditions, disabilities, and patients with multiple comorbidities throughout their lifespan.
The program incorporates EmpowEER Work Integrated Learning (WIL) components across four courses during the two years. Qualification Requirements

You must have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) within the last 10 years* with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (out of 4.0) in a Science, Biomedical Science, Exercise Science, Health or other discipline, with a major/minor in human anatomy (including musculoskeletal anatomy) and a major/minor in human physiology. Applicants who have a successfully completed a relevant degree (as above) with a GPA of at least 1.5 out of 4, will be considered if they have at least 2 years (full-time equivalent) of relevant industry experience (e.g. Exercise Science, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Allied Health Assistance, Paramedic, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Chinese Medicine, Psychology, Myotherapy, Naturopathy, Respiratory Scientist, Aged Care, Counselling, Exercise Physiology, Social Work, Dietetics, Speech Pathology). ^ Please note that entry to this program is competitive and meeting the minimum academic entry requirements does not guarantee an offer. Applicants will be selected competitively based on their GPA and selection task. If this bachelor degree was completed more than 10 years ago, applicants must have completed a postgraduate qualification in health within the last 10 years or have recent, relevant work experience. These applicants will be assessed for eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
