Program Overview:
Podiatrists assess and treat diverse foot and lower limb conditions to enhance mobility and wellbeing across all age groups. As a student, you'll deliver comprehensive foot care using surgical techniques, gait analysis, orthotic solutions, wound management, and patient education. Typical cases involve foot pain, sports injuries, footwear issues, and dermatological concerns. Podiatrists frequently collaborate with other healthcare providers to manage chronic conditions like diabetes or arthritis.
Practical Training:
This program includes approximately 900 hours of hands-on clinical placements.
Honors Option:
After your second year, you may apply for the Bachelor of Podiatry (Honors) to undertake specialized research, giving you an edge in your professional journey. Admission is competitive, based on academic performance. Accepted students maintain all earned credits while completing two additional years of study.
